Our Responsibilities as CARES Team...
Visit the residents regularly at their apartments to make sure that things are okay with their apartment. We will be a liaison between the residents and the manager by talking with the residents about their move in experience and such and then report our findings to the property manager, who then passes the information along to the property ownerss. If the manager finds that there is some sort of other problem (such as death, illness or other life change) with the resident, she can call on us to help.
We will organize at least 4 events per month to help create community and bring the residents together. These can be anything, but some will be further reaching than others. For example, in October we hope to leave notes and a treat at the mailboxes for each of the residents a well as host a pizza night, a study break night with snacks and games (both at the community's clubhouse) and a costume contest via Facebook.
